Yogo Sasaki and Riki Yoshida met each other in 2011 and formed the group in 2013. In 2015, they started performing in active full-scale as "The Super Ball". They performed in live music clubs and on the streets of Tokyo.

They started uploading videos of covered songs on the web every day and after that their fans increased sharply. The number of followers on Twitter has also risen dramatically, and they became known as a remarkable newcomer.

Since 2014 they have been living together in order to concentrate on music activities as a unit. In December 2015, they held a headline live performance as a newcomer of high expectations which received much attention leading to an exclusive record contract with Tokuma Japan.

2011年に某レコード会社のオーディションで出会い、2013年に結成。

佐々木陽吾は日本テレビ系「歌唱王」の準決勝進出（2014年6月＆12月OA）、吉田理幹はTBS系の番組内で行われた某オーディションのファイナリストに選出（2014年）等々、ソロとしての評価を受けつつも、“The Super Ball”としての都内のライブハウスや路上ライブ活動を2015年から本格化。カバー曲を歌った動画をWEBで毎日アップし始めて以降、ファンが急増。Twitterのフォロワー数も急激に伸び、2016年4月現在、グループ・個人合わせてのフォロワー数は約60,000人。要注目の新人として知られることになった。

2014年からはユニットでの音楽活動に集中する為に、二人暮らしをスタートさせている。期待のニューカマーとして注目を集める中行われた2015年12月の渋谷Duoのワンマンライブにはメジャーレーベルが集結。数社による争奪戦が行われ、徳間ジャパンとの専属契約が決定した。
